Here Chicky, Chicky, Chicky -- MIxed Media Canvas

I love doing whimsy canvases using up my huge stash of scrapbooking papers, my boxes of acrylic paints and dipping into my box of ink pens. This 20" x 16" canvas was fun to create - time consuming - but fun. I love quilts and have a small collection of chicken statues in my kitchen so this piece was easy to come up with in my mind when it was time to do my next canvas.

Mixed-Media: Black Birds on Quilts

Another Mixed-Media: 20" x 16" canvas using acrylic paints, scrapbook paper scraps, ink and pen. This is a painting lift from Debbi Hubb. I love her whimsy and replicated one of her pieces on a canvas that had 2 previous paintings on it that did not work out -- this one did. I'm going to do another and change it a bit going horizontal in red, white and blues with 3 quilts and chickens topping the spread. A fun exercise to do.

NEW Journals at Sam'Studio

Coming to you this November at Allied Arts Festival of the Arts are some new journal designs I've been playing with. I love quilts and put that love into some journal designs -- more designs to come. Plus a little Paris invasion with a few Ecriture de Journal (Journal Writing) -- I love the colors of these Paris motif journals.
