Goals

The assignment for a recent scrapbooking challenge was to do a layout (LO) of a goal. This is just one of mine: To live in Scotland for a while. What's one of your goals?

Whenever you're in Portland you have to go to the Oregon Coast - it's only a couple of hours west and worthy of a day trip. Andrea and I went over - it was cold - it was windy - it was the beach!

What can I say --- we're a family of cameras ---- lots and lots of cameras.

While cleaning out my scrap room closet (ugh!), I discovered a little box of photos (who knew?). Buried in the bottom of the box was this little picture -- it was very dark and I couldn't tell who it was. So, I scanned it, lightened it, and there was my DD smiling up at me --- so, so sweet. Of course, it got scrapped. (credits for the digi police: Cafe J-photo mask, DragonArt-dandelions, White almond kiss alpha and Katie Pertiet-paper.)

I usually don't mix four pattern papers together on my layouts --- but this one just wanted something different and I stepped out of my box. A couple of photos from my recent visit to Portland's Japanese Garden with Andrea. It's a wonderful place - so quiet, serene and peaceful.

Shadow Dancing

A bit busier then I usually do for a layout --- but it was for a challenge and I had fun with it and shadow dancing on the pier at Lake Padden in April with Scooter. tee hee

Summer is here (shh, don't tell mother nature that Bellingham's summer usually doesn't start until way after July 4th). A few of my favorite things in summer livin' are: camping, sun tea, farmer's market, fresh flowers and road trippin'. What are your 5 favorite things? (and remember when lists are pondered, they may change again and again and again.)

Park HIke

Just scrappin', scrappin', scrappin' --- whew! I love this picture and had to get it onto a page ASAP. Last weekend's trip to Vancouver. We found a great park in North Vancouver called Lighthouse Park --- old growth forest, fantastic views and short hikes throughout a wonderful Canadaian park.

Nitobe Gardens - UBC

Our annual trek into Vancouver was spectacular this year. A little Indie, a peaceful walk through Nitobe Gardens on campus, north Vancouver discoveries, and Lighthouse Park. It was the best yet!
